Seeing is Becoming

A sermon on John 3:1-10
How we see determines what we see and what we see shapes the soul. Many are stuck only seeing the logical and concrete. If you want to see the world of mystery, wonder, and beauty then we have to look with the eyes of the soul. Jesus says that if you want to see the kingdom of God, one has to be born again, or in other words, be born from above. Richard Rohr defines the “Kingdom of God” as a “state of consciousness…it’s transformed awareness of how we look at the world”. So set aside your usual way of seeing things and open yourself up to a new way of seeing this life and world of yours.
